Behdini (also spelled Badini) Kurdish is spoken by about two million people in Northern Iraq. Closely related to Kurmanji (Northern) Kurdish, it reflects the rich linguistic and cultural traditions of the Kurdish people and remains an important part of community identity across the region.

This course introduces learners to the Behdini Kurdish language and the history and heritage of the Kurdish people. Created by the Kurdish Language and Culture Institute in 2014, it offers an opportunity to explore the language while building a deeper appreciation for the culture and traditions it represents.
